After being stalked by a man in Dubai and bursting into tears and hiding behind the umpire's chair in fear, the British tennis player started keeping a low profile on social media. However, that shouldn't be surprising, considering that it was revealed that the stalker followed the 22-year-old at the WTA tournaments in Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Dubai.
And today, Raducanu went a step further and decided to at least take a break from Instagram for some time.
Raducanu disclosed how the man in question got close to her
It is not a secret that the former world No. 10 is a coffee person and she loves to taste different coffee across the world. So while in Dubai, she went to a coffee shop on site. What was supposed to be a relaxing activity, turned into a nightmare.
"There were two instances and it was the second one that I just got freaked out by. The first one was more like a normal fan approaching you, except for the fact he told me he followed me from everywhere. And then [he] kind of watched me in the coffee shop for a while the second incident was really worrying," Raducanu shared in Indian Wells.

In her pre-tournament presser in Indian Wells, the Briton didn't hide how scared she felt after seeing that same person being in the stands for his Dubai match against Karolina Muchova.
"I saw him in the first game of the match and I was like, I don't know how I'm going to finish. I literally couldn't see the ball through tears. I could barely breathe," she said.
In Indian Wells, Raducanu was offered extra protection and felt safe 24/7. After losing to Moyuka Uchijima in the first round, the Briton thanked the organizers.
