Joshua Kimmich has confirmed he will soon publicise his decision on his future with Bayern Munich, hinting at a new contract with the German giants.

Kimmich's current deal runs until the end of the season and, after the offer of an extension was withdrawn late last month, it appeared as though he would depart on a free transfer. Clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid all signalled their interest in snapping up the versatile midfielder.

Bayern challenged Kimmich to truly prove his desire to remain with the club by making the first move to reignite talks, and the 30-year-old wasted little time doing exactly that. A meeting between the two parties led to reports an extension was effectively finalised.

"There will definitely be a decision in the next few days," Kimmich said after Bayern beat Bayer Leverkusen to advance to the Champions League quarter-finals.

Asked whether he was referring to a new contract with Bayern, Kimmich teased: "Something like that."

BILD state Kimmich is on the cusp of signing a new four-year contract and kickstarting what is expected to be a remodelling of the Bayern midfield.

While Kimmich's position is safe, the Bundesliga giants will listen to offers for both Leon Goretzka and Joao Palhinha this summer, although both players are thought to be reluctan to leave.
