Novak Djokovic's untimely loss at the Indian Wells Masters 1000 may have changed his plans. The former world number 1 did not expect to be eliminated so early in the first Masters 1000 of the season, with which he did not find the right feeling in the last period of his career.

Although he has triumphed five times in California, the Serbian legend has suffered some truly shocking defeats at 'The Tennis Paradise' in recent years.
Young Italian Luca Nardi shocked the world by beating Nole last year, while his 2025 run ended against Botic van de Zandschulp in the second round.
Novak's performance against the Dutch ace last Saturday worried both fans and insiders, who had never seen the 24-time Grand Slam champion make so many gross mistakes during a single match.
The current number 7 also attributed his poor performance to the excessive difference between the 'Stadium 1' and the secondary courts, but a legend of his caliber cannot appeal to such justifications. Not even the support of Andy Murray in his garage made a difference this time and dark clouds over his future began to gather again.

Will Djokovic play in Miami?
According to his official schedule, the 37-year-old from Belgrade is expected to make his return to Miami next week after a six-year absence.
Djokovic has not played in Florida since the 2019 edition, the first at the Hard Rock Stadium, when he was defeated by Roberto Bautista Agut in the round of 16 after beating Bernard Tomic and Federico Delbonis.
However according to former American ace John Isner it would not be so surprising if Nole skipped the Miami Open again this year.
He has just got to find that motivation and find the fun in playing as he has accomplished so much. Whether he plays Miami is a tricky one, he has pulled out of Miami a lot in the past John said on the latest edition of the Nothing Major podcast.

He continued: We havent heard if he has said anything about Miami at this point. I would be surprised if he played it personally. But we will see what he does.
