Eight months after his unexpected exit from WWE, former SmackDown head writer Ryan Callahan has finally addressed his departureand hes keeping it classy.
In a recent update on LinkedIn, Callahan reflected on his time with WWE while also revealing what hes been up to since stepping away from the company.
He went on to share that hes been focused on freelance and personal projects, calling the shift incredibly fulfilling.
Callahan also put himself back on the market, offering his skills in writing, directing, producing, and even sarcastic quips and Blu-ray recommendations for anyone in the greater NYC area.
While Callahan was a key part of SmackDowns success, reports suggested that burnout, interpersonal challenges, and the fallout from Jennifer Peppermans departure played a role in his exit. His tenure saw the blue brand become Friday nights top-rated show, but ultimately, it seems like the backstage politics werent for him.
Now that Callahan has officially spoken out, do you think WWE lost an important creative voice, or was it time for a change? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
