A major update has surfaced regarding Luchasaurus (aka Killswitch), who has been out of action due to serious medical issues that nearly took his life.
According to Fightful Select, Luchasaurus was backstage at AEW Revolution 2025, fueling speculation that he may have been involved in what some sources referred to as an alternate ending for the main event.
While its unclear whether Luchasaurus has been medically cleared, discussions reportedly took place about using him at some point during the show. However, when pressed for details about his potential involvement in the rumored alternate finish, sources refused to elaborate.
This revelation adds another layer to the speculation surrounding Jon Moxley vs. Adam Copeland, which headlined AEW Revolution 2025. According to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live, AEW originally had a completely different plan for the match that would have included multiple wrestlers and even some surprise returns.
The rumors of a last-minute change intensified after Copeland placed his hand on Moxleys chest at the end of the match before being pulled away. Some fans speculated that Copeland was supposed to win but that plans changed. Alvarez dismissed that theory, stating, Thats not what happened.
Ultimately, Moxley retained his AEW World Championship after Christian Cage cashed in his guaranteed title shot. However, Cage passed out in the bulldog choke, with sources later reporting that the cash-in was only done to wrap up the storyline.
The timing of Luchasaurus backstage presence raises questions. Was he originally part of the scrapped alternate ending? Did AEW change course at the last second, or was his presence just coincidental?
As of now, there is no confirmation that Luchasaurus has been cleared to wrestle, but his return to AEW programming may not be far off.
