Thomas Tuchel has named his first squad as England manager, with Marcus Rashford returning to the Three Lions setup for the first time in 12 months.

Tuchel took charge after Gareth Southgate's decision to step down in the aftermath of Euro 2024 and, after beginning work in January, has spent the past two months speaking with players and drawing up his plans for his first squad.

Among the significant inclusions is Rashford, who is enjoying a career resurgence on loan with Aston Villa. The versatile forward last represented England in March 2024, after which his struggles with Manchester United saw him omitted from Southgate's squads.

Villa teammate Morgan Rogers makes the cut but there is no place for Manchester City winger Jack Grealish, who was dropped from Southgate's Euro 2024 squad before returning under interim boss Lee Carsley.

Tuchel has opted to hand Arsenal youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly his first call-up to the senior squad, but there is no place for 17-year-old winger Ethan Nwaneri just yet. Newcastle United defender Dan Burn also earns his first opportunity to represent England at any level at the age of 32.

Burn takes the place of United's Harry Maguire. A firm favourite of Southgate's, Maguire has caught the eye at times for Ruben Amorim's side but remains out in the cold under Tuchel.

There is, however, a return for Ajax midfielder Jordan Henderson, who has not represented England since November 2023.

Tuchel's reign as England manager will begin with a World Cup qualifier at Wembley Stadium on March 21, before Latvia make the trip to the English capital three days later on March 24.
