Mauro Ranallo is a name that many fans of professional wrestling are familiar with since he was beloved as a commentator in WWE. Hes no longer part of WWE, and many fans have been hoping to see him end up in AEW someday. Interestingly enough, it appears there were genuine talks of having Ranallo join AEW in the past.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Mauro Ranallo was backstage AEW Revolution. He then revealed that at one point years ago, there was some early talk or interest in Mauro Ranallo working with AEW, but the talks never got serious.

Mauro Ranallo was backstage at AEW Revolution, where he met up with the likes of Renee Paquette, Will Ospreay and many others. Naturally, many fans wanted to see him join AEW after his backstage visit.

Mauro Ranallo left the world of professional wrestling for a few years until his return atMaple Leaf Pro Wrestlings Forged in Excellence event last year. Since then, he has kept himself busy with various events outside professional wrestling,including last years Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing match.

Although past talks never led to a contract, Mauro Ranallos presence at AEW Revolution shows he still has ties to the industry. Whether AEW will reconsider bringing him in remains unclear, but fans continue to hope for his full-time return to pro wrestling.
