BJ Ray isnt holding back when it comes to what really went down between him and Bubba Ray Dudley on WWE LFG. The NXT hopeful found himself in a heated moment during Episode 4 of the series after an exchange with Bubba led to an unexpected shovebut according to Ray, theres a lot that WWE didnt show.
Speaking with Shak Wrestling, Ray broke down the situation, claiming he was simply trying to explain the shows format to special guest Eric Bischoff when Bubba flipped out on him.
Yeah, so Im what they would say a team player, right? And Im a little bit of a businessman. So I just so happen to be in the room at that time and I saw Eric up there. Bubba had asked, he wanted my help with the team in the previous episode that you saw. So I saw Eric up there and I decided to go up there and chat him up a little bit, kind of tell him whos who, whats going on. Bubba didnt like that.
Things escalated fast, and before Ray knew it, Bubba was in his face. I was like first of all, I didnt understand why he was mad. I mean, isnt that where the legends belong? But yeah, Bubba just got big mad for real, dude. He got super mad and all of a sudden, I was just like yeah bro, whatever, kind of giving him one of these [hand gesture]. I go to turn around and bro just decides to attack me and shove me out of nowhere.
But what really has Ray talking is how the confrontation was edited for TV. He claims WWE left out key parts of the altercation to protect Bubba Ray Dudleys image. Low-key, I was just dying. I was like, bro, theres no in my head I cant lie to you, bro, Im always kind of like a troll in the back of my mind and I find things hella funny. So when it was all happening, I was low-key kind of like, Bro, this is actually mad funny.
According to Ray, some of his own actions toward Bubba were completely cut from the final version. But yeah, it was very interesting. A lot of stuff got left on the cutting room floor. I had done something to Bubba that definitely got left on the cutting room floor. They gotta protect their legends, they gotta make them look good. They dont want to show me big dogging Bubba. And I dont care to say that. Ill say whatever I want to say.
With BJ Ray spilling all this tea, its clear hes not afraid to shake things up. Whether WWE really edited the footage to protect Bubba Ray Dudley or if this is just a case of a rookie trying to make a name for himself, the drama isnt dying down anytime soon. If Ray keeps talking like this, dont be surprised if this tension makes its way from LFG to an actual WWE ring. Stay tunedbecause this story might not be over just yet.
