Lee Trevino, the golf legend, has only words of praise for Scheffler, but points out that Scottie scares him a bit. Namely, experimenting with the putter is not something that Trevino looks forward to, as he is surprised that Scheffler is still experimenting even though he is so dominant.
Hes just a lovely guy, Trevino said, guesting on Golf Channel.
I mean, hes a super individual. I mean, we couldnt have a better number one. Hes unbelievable.
Right now, heres what scares me, is he is starting to experiment with his putter. Hes experimenting with different putters now, and hes changed the grip. And winning seven tournaments and $62 million wasnt enough, god dang it.
Scottie recently spoke to the media, saying that despite how great he is, he always strives to find ways to improve. The 28-year-old is truly an example of a golfer who doesn't want to stop at any one success, always hungry for new achievements and feats.

The golf legend then decided to analyze Scheffler's performances, talking about a potential TV engagement as a golf analyst. The 85-year-old admitted that he studies a lot of golfers and their style of play, stressing that many of them 'are coming inside now.'

Scottie comes inside more than anybody else because his foot goes back, Trevino said.
And when your foot goes back, youll come inside more. I told him, youre cheating, boy, youre hitting the ball at 8.
The golf hall of famer really knows how to make the public laugh, and there's no doubt he would do a great job as an analyst.
