On Thursday evening, the No. 2 seed beat Francisco Cerundolo 6-3 7-6 (4) to reach the last-4 stage in Indian Wells and put himself in a position to be two wins away from completing a three-peat at the tournament. Since debuting in the desert in 2021, the Spanish tennis star has enjoyed great success and is 20-2 lifetime at the opening Masters event of the year.

After reaching the semifinal at the tournament for the fourth consecutive time, Alcaraz wrote on the camera lens: "Should I buy a house here?"

Alcaraz asked to explain his viral message

It is not a secret that Indian Wells is home to some of the wealthiest and most influential people in the United States. So one of the unique things about the Indian Wells tournament is that players usually stay in rented houses instead of hotel rooms. And the world No. 3 absolutely loves and thrives in this environment.

"Well, I think tennis -- I have talked like this with a lot of players. I have a big team. I'm lucky enough to bring family with me to tournaments, but I think tennis is a lonely sport. So sometimes when you feel peaceful in the place you're going, you feel great," Alcaraz explained when asked what it is that makes the desert such a happy hunting place for him.

"So that's this case here. I feel peace. Here is peaceful. So I just feel great that way with the people that I have around. So that's why it makes this place really beautiful to me, and I think that's why I show my best tennis here."

In the Indian Wells semifinal, Alcaraz plays against Jack Draper.
