Liverpool are seeking to clinch the first piece of silverware of Arne Slot's reign on Sunday when they face Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final.
The defending champions will travel to Wembley for the second season running having beaten four different Premier League opponents en route. West Ham United, Brighton & Hove Albion, Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur have all fallen by the wayside and Newcastle could be the next to topple.
Liverpool must bounce back from their disappointing and energy-sapping Champions League exit if they want to overcome one of their favourite opponents. A week that started with talk of a treble could end in heartbreak if they don't bring their best in the capital.
Here is how the Reds could line up for the showpiece event.
Liverpool predicted lineup vs Newcastle (4-2-3-1)
GK: Alisson - Slot has a big decision to make over Liverpool's starting goalkeeper on Sunday, with Caoimhin Kelleher having played the majority of Carabao Cup matches this term. However, the Dutchman hinted at Alisson retaining his starting berth during his pre-match press conference.
RB: Jarell Quansah - With Trent Alexander-Arnold injured and joined by Conor Bradley and Joe Gomez on the sidelines, Quansah is most likely to fill the void left by Liverpool's No 66. He will want to follow his England call-up with an impressive performance at Wembley.
CB: Ibrahima Konate - The Frenchman was spotted in training on Friday as he shrugged off doubts over his fitness. He will have the immense challenge of keeping Alexander Isak under wraps.
CB: Virgil van Dijk - The match-winner in last season's Carabao Cup final will want to secure another major trophy with the Reds ahead of a potential Anfield exit this summer.
LB: Andy Robertson - Kostas Tsimikas assisted Van Dijk's winner in last year's finale but Robertson has established himself as the clear first-choice left-back in recent months. He will be kept busy by the lively Jacob Murphy.
DM: Ryan Gravenberch - Liverpool's tiring midfield may be an area of the pitch that Newcastle aim to exploit on Sunday, with Gravenberch needing to unleash the best version of himself up against the likes of Joelinton, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes.
DM: Alexis Mac Allister - The World Cup winner and Copa America champion is used to featuring on the biggest stages, winning his first silverware in English football in last year's Carabao Cup final.
RW: Mohamed Salah - With Lewis Hall sidelined, Salah will likely lock horns with the similarly indefatigable Tino Livramento this weekend. February's Premier League Player of the Month will be aiming to add to the 54 goal contributions he's amassed this term.
AM: Dominik Szoboszlai - Szoboszlai was nominated but ultimately overlooked for the award scooped by teammate Salah, but the influential and unrelenting Hungarian did win Liverpool's Men's Player of the Month for February.
LW: Cody Gakpo - Gakpo's absence was felt during meetings with Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool will be keen to reintegrate the Dutchman as swiftly as possible following a small injury setback.
ST: Luis Diaz - Diogo Jota has been off the boil in recent weeks and Darwin Nunez can't be trusted for such a mammoth occasion. Diaz should lead the line on Sunday against a defence missing Sven Botman.
