WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman is widely regarded as one of the greatest minds in professional wrestling. His creative expertise has played a key role in shaping the careers of many top stars. While he is often praised for his promo skills, a former WWE writer has called him out for his promos being one-dimensional.
Paul Heyman appeared on the 14th March edition of Friday Night SmackDown and gave a short promo. He mainly promoted WWE 2K25 and announced that Roman Reigns would return to the show next week.
While speaking on the BroDown podcast, former WWE writer Vince Russo talked about Paul Heyman and made it clear that he isnt a fan and believes Heyman has been delivering the same promo for the past ten years. Russo also criticized Heyman for being one-dimensional and overacting in his promos, saying he doesnt understand why so many people praise him.
Even though Vince Russo criticized him, many fans and experts still believe Paul Heyman is one of the best talkers in wrestling. He has played a big role in WWEs stories for years, helping to make stars like Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. His powerful speeches and storytelling have made him a legend in the business.
As for Paul Heyman right now, he remains in a major storyline involving Roman Reigns, CM Punk and Seth Rollins, so we will have to wait and see how WWE will continue to use Heyman in the coming weeks as we head towards WrestleMania 41.
Do you agree with Vince Russo that Paul Heymans promos have become repetitive, or do you think Heyman remains one of WWEs most valuable assets? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
