Wendi Richter finally has an answer for Toni Storm, but without all that foul language!
Former two-time WWF Womens Champion and WWE Hall of Famer Wendi Richter spoke with DS Shin of Ring the Belle recently and responded to Storms many call outs challenging her to a match. Richter admitted that when people brought up what Storm was doing, she didnt even know who she was. However, she jokingly said she would certainly get back in the ring for money and challenged Storm to a match.if she was paid $20 million dollars. She also commented that wrestling is a family show and that Storm could cut out her F bombs.
Richter talks a lot about her time in Japan and also answers about the original screwjob match between her and The Spider Lady (Fabulous Moolah). In 1985 at Madison Square Garden, Richter was planned to defend the title against the masked opponent. The referee, who was in on the plan to screw over Richter, did a fast count of three although Richter kicked out at the count of one. Richter continued to fight the masked opponent after the bell to reveal it to be Moolah.
Richter says she is now over the screwjob finish, however, she was personally hurt and upset about the results of that match. She says that after the match she left MSG in the cold, still in her wrestling gear, and didnt change until she got to the airport. Richters time with WWF ended after this and reportedly she never spoke to Moolah again. She said she is thankful for how everything turned out, as she left WWF she wrestled on the indies. Following that, she went to college and earning her masters degree in occupational therapy.
