Just like he did at the start of last year, Joaquin Niemann kicked off 2025 in style, winning LIV Golf Singapore, his second win in the first four events of the season.

Niemann, who had already won LIV Golf Adelaide in February, finished with a -6 (65) to take the lead at Sentosa Golf Club. He edged out Brooks Koepka of Smash GC, who finished second, and Ben Campbell of RangeGoats GC, who rounded out the podium in third. The Torque GC captain has won four LIV Golf events in total, placing him just behind Koepka, who has five titles. Niemann had already won two of the first three events of 2024, and went on to finish second in the race for the individual title of the season.

Today was one of those days where everything just fell into place, said Niemann. I felt really focused in the key moments, especially on my tee shots at the beginning of the round. That allowed me to get into a rhythm quickly and play with more confidence throughout the round.

Niemann started the day tied for first place with 4Aces GC captain Dustin Johnson at 11 points, but took the lead with a birdie on the first hole and never looked back. He added five more birdies in his flawless final round, winning by a five-shot margin.

I feel like a different player, he added. I have a year more experience competing against the best in the world, and winning helps.

In the team standings, Sunday was dominated by the Fireballs GC for the third straight week. Captain Sergio Garcia (71), David Puig (66), Abraham Ancer (69) and Luis Masaveu (68) closed the round at -10, taking the title with a total of -22, three shots ahead of Legion XIII, second, and four on 4Aces GC, third.

LIV Golf Singapore returns for the third consecutive year from March 14 to 16, 2025, consolidating itself as one of the most anticipated events in the LIV Golf League calendar. This tournament, which will be held at the prestigious Sentosa Golf Club on Sentosa Island, promises three days of spectacular golf, breathtaking scenery and a unique atmosphere that combines top-level sport and entertainment.

The tournament is played on the Serapong Course at Sentosa Golf Club, a par-71, 6,691-metre course that has received numerous international awards. Recently voted the Worlds Best Golf Course at the World Golf Awards, the course is known for its panoramic views of the Singapore Strait and its technical challenge, with undulating fairways and tricky greens. Among its distinguishing features is the famous Dragons Tail, a section of the course that will test even the best players on the tour. The club is also renowned for its commitment to sustainability, making it a model in the global golf scene.

LIV Golf Singapore follows the typical LIV Golf League format: 54 holes without a cut (hence the name LIV, which refers to the Roman numeral 54), spread over three days, with a shotgun start that sees all 54 players start simultaneously on different tees. In addition to the individual competition, there is also a team competition, with 13 teams of four players each competing for the collective title. This dual level of competition is one of the hallmarks of the league, which aims to revolutionise the way golf is played and experienced by fans.

In 2024, the tournament saw Brooks Koepka take the individual title, while Ripper GC, led by Cam Smith, took the team title. Both will return in 2025 to defend their titles, facing a star-studded field of Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, Sergio Garcia, and Phil Mickelson, names that guarantee a very high level of competition.
