Manchester United are planning to make significant additions to their frontline in the summer transfer window, according to a report.
United's attack has been particularly blunt this season. The Red Devils boast just 37 top-flight goals in 29 games, fewer than 17th-placed, relegation-battling Wolverhampton Wanderers. Bruno Fernandes is the club's top scorer with eight goals, narrowly ahead of Amad Diallo who has been injured for the last six weeks.
Rasmus Hojlund opened the scoring in United's 3-0 stroll against Leicester City on Sunday, although that was his first goal after 21 blank appearances and just his third of the league season.
As United aim to improve upon their 13th-place league position for next season, the club are said to be "intensively scouting the market", according to Sky Sport Germany. The report named four strikers who are "high" on United's list of targets; Hugo Ekitike, Benjamin Sesko, Viktor Gyokeres and Victor Osimhen.
Arsenal and Liverpool are both monitoring Ekitike, who has impressed in an Eintracht Frankfurt side currently sitting fourth in the Bundesliga. RB Leipzig are three points further back thanks in no small part to the ten league goals racked up by Slovenia international Sesko. Any suitor could snap him up immediately by triggering a 66m release clause this summer.
Well known to Ruben Amorim, Gyokeres is on the radar of half the continent - although the prolific Sporting CP star is reportedly favouring a move to one of Arsenal, Liverpool or Manchester City.
Osimhen has been a long-term target for United. The Nigeria international is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, who have reportedly dropped his release clause from over 100m to around 70m. Osimhen has been coy when it comes to his future but is expected to move on this summer.
