Joao Felix and Kyle Walker both left the Premier League on loan to join AC Milan in the winter transfer window but the Serie A giants have decided to only keep one of their recruits, according to a report in Italy.
Walker abruptly left the defending Premier League champions, telling Pep Guardiola about his surprise desire to move abroad after reportedly coming to the realisation that "he could no longer cut it at City".
Joao Felix's Chelsea exit was less of a shock. The Portuguese playmaker may have only returned to west London in the summer but struggled to force his way into Enzo Maresca's first team. After getting rejected by Barcelona and spurning the advances of Inter, Felix followed in the footsteps of his role model Kaka and donned the famous black and red stripes.
The former Atletico Madrid star threatened to become the second coming of the Brazilian icon, marking his debut against Roma with a delicious scooped finish. It didn't last long.
Felix hasn't scored for Milan over the subsequent six weeks and Milan have decided against making his loan deal permanent, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. On top of his waning form, Milan have been put off by the suggestion that Chelsea are demanding more than 40m (33.7m) for Felix.
Walker, by comparison, is set to stay at Milan as per the same report. The Italian outfit have already agreed to pay City 5m (4.2m) to seal Walker's permanent transfer.
The England international turns 35 in May but has rapidly established himself as a first-team regular. The only games which Walker has failed to start since his mid-season arrival were the result of a hamstring injury. The former City right-back started three matches on the sidelines, all of which Milan lost.
