There are many names in the world of professional wrestling who have been instrumental in the development of the business but have yet to get a Hall of Fame induction for their contributions. This includes Fit Finlay and now it appears there is a push for Finlay to finally get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Natalya took to Twitter and commented on vintage footage of Fit Finlay wrestling in World of Sport. She praised the video and expressed her belief that Finlay deserves a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame, stating that shes confident he will be inducted one day, saying, Very cool footage! If anyone deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, its Fit Finlay. And I know one day he will!.
Fit Finlay first became famous in World of Sport in the UK before joining WCW in the 1990s, where he won the Television Championship. After WCW closed, he moved to WWE, working behind the scenes as a producer. In 2006, he started wrestling again and was known for his tough style and his partnership with Hornswoggle. He won the United States Championship and had rivalries with JBL, Booker T, and Bobby Lashley.
Right now, Finlay works as a senior producer and trainer in WWE, mainly helping the womens division. He has trained stars like Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Mercedes Mon. He helps plan matches, train wrestlers, and improve storylines, which is why wrestlers thank him for helping them get better and making womens wrestling in WWE more respected.
Given his decades of contributions as a wrestler, trainer, and producer, its clear that Fit Finlay is valuable to the business. With Natalya and many others advocating for his induction, fans hope that WWE will soon recognize what he accomplished with a well-deserved Hall of Fame induction.
