The March 17 episode of WWE Raw was full of memorable moments from top to bottom, but many fans were confused by Jey Uso beating Austin Theory in merely a minute. In fact, the original plan for the match has been revealed.
While speaking on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, WrestleVotes reported that Jey Uso vs. Austin Theory was originally planned to last 11 minutes. It was noted that while its unclear if John Cenas extended opening segment played a role in the match getting shortened, other parts of the show were affected by Cenas promo. However, the match itself was scheduled for 11 minutes before changes were made.
Quite a few fans were absolutely shocked that Jey Uso defeated Austin Theory in just a minute since many felt Theory more than deserved to have a proper match and not look so weak.
Despite the loss, WWE quickly set up Austin Theorys next move. After the match, it was announced that he and Grayson Waller will team up next week on RAW in Glasgow to face Jey Uso and a mystery partner. Adding to the excitement, Joe Hendry responded to a teaser about appearing, creating speculation that he might be Jeys partner.
Jey Usos quick win over Austin Theory was surprising, but in the end, Theory has simply accepted it and is moving on. With a new tag match already set, it will be interesting to see how WWE builds his momentum moving forward.
