The Queen of the Ring movie didnt exactly dominate the box office, but AEW President Tony Khan is still standing behind the projectand now hes shedding light on how AEW talent got involved in the film.
Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Khan revealed that director Ash Avildsen approached him early in the casting process, specifically about featuring Toni Storm.
Khan shared that he spent about an hour on the phone with Avildsen discussing the project before Storm was officially cast. Once everything was set, AEW worked around her schedule to allow her to film the movie.
With Queen of the Ring struggling at the box office, AEW has continued pushing the film to its audience. Now the question remainswill the movie find a second life through streaming?
