AEW Collision is already being shaken up this weekend thanks to March Madness, but now Tony Khan has another issue to figure outwhat music to use for Sundays special episode.
Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Khan admitted hes not sure if Elton Johns Saturday Nights Alright for Fightingthe official theme song for Collisionmakes sense for a show airing on Sunday.
Great collaboration with Elton John though. I think Saturday Nights Alright for Fightinggreat for Collision. Thats a great wrestling theme, I think its an iconic wrestling theme now. But this week weve got a special Sunday show and I gotta figure out the music, Ill be honest, for Slam Dunk Sunday because this is the first time, Khan explained.
He joked that some classic Sunday-themed songs wouldnt exactly set the right tone for a wrestling show, saying, Frankly, some of the Sunday songs arent as hard-hitting. Sunday Kind of Love? I dont think thats gonna work.
Khan didnt confirm whether hed stick with Elton Johns hit for Sundays show, but fans can expect AEW Collision to air in two one-hour blocks this weekendSaturday and Sunday at 11 PM ESTright after the NCAA Tournament.
Would you keep Saturday Nights Alright for Fighting as the theme for Sunday Collision, or does AEW need a new track? Drop your suggestions in the comments!
