Goldberg is gearing up for his final match in 2025, and hes already thinking about who hed step in the ring with. The WWE Hall of Famer last wrestled in 2022, losing to Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber, but he isnt done just yet. Now, hes got his eyes on GUNTHER and isnt shying away from the challenge.
While speaking with Ariel Helwani, Goldberg didnt hold back when asked about a potential match with WWEs dominant Ring General. Hes the new generation. Im the old generation. Its kind of like a passing of the torch in a way. I wouldnt turn that one down by any stretch of the imagination, he said.
The two had a tense face-off back in October at Bad Blood, setting the stage for what could be an explosive clash. GUNTHER has proven himself as one of the most dominant champions in WWE, but Goldberg isnt one to back down, especially when it comes to protecting his legacy. You dont ever open your mouth in front of my wife and my son negatively about me, he warned.
Goldberg also revealed that WWE never gave him the proper sendoff Vince McMahon once promised him. Vince had promised me another match because not too many people know this, but I took the Roman match with like a month prior notice, and I had Covid. Thats not the way to go out, he explained.
Now, with his retirement match set for 2025, the question remainswill it be against GUNTHER?
