AEW Dynamite is still on despite a brutal blizzard in Omaha, but getting there hasnt been easyjust ask Jon Moxley. With flights grounded and roads covered in snow, the former AEW World Champion reportedly drove a staggering 11 hours just to make it to the show.
Bryan Alvarez broke the news on Wrestling Observer Live, revealing that Moxley was one of several AEW talents who had to hit the road after travel plans were wrecked by the storm. As of about an hour ago, 10% of the people that were supposed to be at Dynamite still were not there yet. There were several individuals that were supposed to fly in and they couldnt, so they drove in, Alvarez reported.
Moxley wasnt alone in his struggle, but Alvarez made it clear that for some, the situation was impossible. If you didnt find out about this until this morning, you aint getting in brother, it aint happening.
Despite all this, Liberty First Credit Union Arena confirmed earlier in the day that both Dynamite and Collision would go on as scheduled.
AEW President Tony Khan also reassured fans that all advertised wrestlers had already arrived, posting, Its Wednesday, 3/19, final day of winter, theres a blizzard in Omaha today! We have 3 huge #AEWDynamite fights set for tonight, all advertised wrestlers are in Omaha now! We have more to announce for tonight when the rest of the team arrives safely! With Moxleys insane journey and other wrestlers still fighting to make it to the venue, AEW is proving once again that the show must go onno matter what Mother Nature throws their way.
