In a new interview, former WWE Diva Kristal Marshall sat down and spoke with Timmy Baltimore on his podcast Limpin Aint Easy. Marshall spoke on her two year run with the company as she was a Diva Search contestant in 2005.
While speaking, Marshall gave an example to Baltimore about how she wanted to wrestle and not just be backstage reporter or correspondent (which she started on SmackDown as such).
I wanted to wrestle. They did not want a lot of the Divas to wrestle, and specifically, they picked and choose who they wanted to. For example, when I was going through the diva search I remember vividly Kevin Dunn backstage, this was when we were going out to do some silly talent thing or whatever in a segment and hes telling the girls they have to come up with something to do. Hes going down the line asking each girl what they are going to do and he stops at Ashley, who bless her soulI remember he stops at Ashely and he goes, youre going to do a monkey flip. So I go, does that mean I get to do a wrestling move also and he goes no. And I said, thats not fair and he leans over and tells me, lifes not fair. I never forgot that.
Marshalls last was at SummerSlam in 2007 during a Battle Royal which was won by Beth Phoenix.
