The Undertakers WrestleMania streak will always be a major part of his legacy, even after it ended. Over the years, he has faced off against some of the biggest names in WWE at the event and now it appears The Deadman was supposed to face another top star at WrestleMania but those plans were nixed.

While speaking on Ten Count Media, Drew McIntyre was asked about the rumors that he was supposed to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania. He acknowledged that while nothing was certain, he had heard it was a possibility at one point. However, with WWEs constantly evolving plans and multiple weekly television shows running year-round, things often change.

The Scottish Warrior noted that at one point there was a working idea for a match between him and The Undertaker at WrestleMania, but it never materialized. Instead, that year saw what McIntyre considers one of the greatest matches of all time, Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker.

The WWE Hall of Famer officially retired from in-ring competition at Survivor Series in 2020. His last matchtook place at WrestleMania 36 in 2020, where he defeated AJ Styles in a Boneyard match.

The Undertaker is currently enjoying his life after retirement and also being a coach on WWE LFG. While its certainly a shame he and Drew McIntyre never got to face each other at the Showcase of the Immortals, fans have simply made peace with that fact now.
