The March 19 episode of AEW Dynamite was pure chaosblood, spikes, and bodies flying everywhere in one of the wildest AEW World Title matches to date. Jon Moxley and Adam Copeland tore the house down in their Street Fight, but it wasnt just the thumbtacks and nail boards that got people talking. It was the unexpected run-ins from names like Nick Wayne and Kip Sabian that left fans scratching their heads.
Now, weve got some clarity. Fightful Select reports that there were a lot of people asking about the Nick Wayne, Kip Sabian, FTR integration into the World Title match. Were told there are creative plans in store to explain it. So if you were wondering why the AEW locker room started turning into a revolving door mid-match, youre not aloneand it sounds like AEW is ready to make sense of it.
The match itself was already insane. Cope ambushed Moxley before the bell, and they brawled backstage, through the crowd, and across every square inch of the Liberty First Credit Union Arena. The most jaw-dropping moment? Moxley getting suplexed onto a bed of nails. Yes, actual nails. The sickening spot had fans and wrestlers alike in disbelief, but Fightful added that Moxley was said to be okay after the spot.
That violence only escalated when Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, Willow Nightingale, Nick Wayne, and FTR all got involvedsome helping, some hurting, and others just adding to the madness. Moxley ultimately retained after delivering a Death Rider to Cope, but the bigger question is whats next, especially with Swerve Strickland now lined up as Moxleys next challenger at Dynasty.
Still, fans want answers. Why was Kip Sabian even there? Whats Nick Waynes deal? AEW apparently has a planbut they better deliver quick, because the questions arent going away.
