AEW Dynamites March 19 episode may have delivered one of the bloodiest main events in recent history, but not everyones applauding. While Jon Moxley and Adam Copelands World Title Street Fight turned into a warzone featuring a board of nails, fan-favorite run-ins, and chaos at every corner, longtime wrestling veteran Stevie Richards is calling it what he believes it isstraight-up reckless.

During a recent episode of The Stevie Richards Show, the former WWE and ECW star didnt hold back when asked about the brutal moment where Moxley was suplexed onto a board filled with exposed nails. This might be the dumbest sht Ive ever seen in my 31 plus years in this business. This is brutal,* Richards said bluntly.

His co-host took it a step further, raising serious concerns about safety and asking, What if a nail, an errant nail, had just driven itself into Jon Moxleys spine and paralyzed him?

Thats when Richards doubled down on his take, pointing out the sheer insanity of the spot. This is about a hundred nails that are right there on the spine any one of them could have hit a nerve, went right in your disc youre bumping on something that has no give. Whos to say his spine didnt shift? Richards went on to say the aftermath could have mimicked scoliosis-like damage, only worse, stating, This is the dumbest stuff Ive ever seen. What is the point of this? Arent Jon Moxley and Edge big enough stars to tell a story?

The criticism came after Fightful Select had already reported that Moxley was said to be okay after the spot, which came amid a match filled with wild interference from Kip Sabian, Nick Wayne, FTR, and more. AEW has since confirmed that there are creative plans in place to explain those surprise run-insbut Richards thinks AEW may have lost the plot.

I dont recall these guys ever having a match, he said of Moxley and Copeland. Why go to this level when theres not even a story built behind it?

AEWs goal may have been to shock and entertain, but not everyone in the industry is impressed. If anything, this match might be remembered more for the fallout than the finish.

Do you think Jon Moxleys nail bump crossed the line? Or is this just the kind of chaos fans expect from AEWs top stars? Sound off in the comments and let us know how you feel.
