The March 21 episode of WWE SmackDown went down in the Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy. That was quite a show, and it kicked off with a WrestleMania challenge.
Randy Ortons music was the first heard tonight, and fans sang every word of his entrance song as he made his way to the ring. However, he wasnt able to say a word before Kevin Owens music hit.
Kevin Owens spoke first, and he suggested that he and Randy Orton team up and win the tag team titles at WrestleMania. He did a great job selling his point, while he brought up how Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn deserved what he did to them, but Randy didnt.
Instead of accepting this WrestleMania invitation, Randy Orton issued a challenge. He threw out a match against The Prize Fighter as fans cheered the idea way more than the two teaming up.
Kevin Owens and Randy Orton have been at odds with each other for a while. Their story is a bit complicated, as they were allies for a time, but that went away in a hurry when a piledriver from Owens put Orton on the shelf for a bit.
Now we know that Randy Orton is eyeing a WrestleMania match against Kevin Owens. Only time will tell if they book the match, or what it might look like by the time the showcase of the immortals rolls around.
