The entry of the Saudi League into the market has, however, undeniably given a shock to the environment in the Middle East.
The Asian Tour, also and above all thanks to the International Series sponsored by LIV Golf, has gained the attention of the media and, above all, of the players.
Just to give an example, go and see the field of the International Series Macau that is being played from today at the Macau Golf & Country Club, and you will see that it has nothing to envy of tournaments of the major Tours.
At the end of 2022, the Mena Tour, still under the aegis of LIV, was revitalized (it was essentially a dormant circuit, Editors note).
These signs of activity are now joined by a new one.

The Qatar Open Amateur Championship, played at the end of last month at the Doha Club, was the inaugural event of the Arab Series, the new circuit (with relative ranking) created by the Arab Federation, which brings together 17 federations of the area, intended for amateur players.
The press release published on the AGF website explains in detail the project, ambitious as any innovation must be:
The new regional rankings will offer a structured system that rewards performance and provides a path for Arab players to grow to the highest levels
By earning ranking points, players can use their successes to their advantage to qualify for high-level tournaments and professional circuits.
The next event of the new circuit is scheduled for April 1-3 at the Al Zorah Golf Club and Yacht Club in Ajman, Lebanon, for the Cedars Golf Championship.
