Stephanie McMahon has been involved in WWE her entire life and understands the business well. In the past, she said that WWE plans storylines a year in advance. However, a former WWE writer believes Stephanie McMahon is a liar after making such a claim.

While speaking on The Brand, criticized WWEs creative direction, calling out Stephanie McMahons past claim that the company books its storylines a year in advance. He questioned whether this was true, arguing that if WWE had planned its storylines so far ahead, then major changes needed to be made.

Vince Russo went as far as to suggest that either Stephanie McMahon was lying about long-term booking or the company had planned a year of disappointing storytelling.

Russo also criticized Cody Rhodes Undisputed WWE Championship reign since WrestleMania 40, saying it has been poorly handled. He argued that if WWE really planned his title defenses a year ahead, it showed bad decision-making.

In his opinion, Cody Rhodes run as the Undisputed WWE Champion has been disappointing and if this was the result of long-term booking, then those in charge should not keep their jobs.

This comes after Stephanie McMahon claimed in an interview with Sports Business Journal that WWE tries to plan storylines a year ahead, saying, We try to have a basic plan a year out. But, inevitably things happen and storylines change. Regardless, Vince Russo wanted to make his feelings clear about Stephanie McMahon and its unlikely that many fans will agree with what he had to say.
