The world of sports lost a true icon. Boxing legend George Foreman passed away on March 21, 2025, at the age of 76. His family confirmed the heartbreaking news, sharing that Foreman peacefully departed surrounded by loved ones.
Tributes immediately poured in from all corners of the sports and entertainment world, but none hit quite as emotionally as the one from WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan. Taking to Instagram, Hogan remembered his longtime friend and praised Foremans legacy both in and out of the ring.
Rest In Peace my brother in Christ. For over 40 years George showed me nothing but love and friendship, Hogan wrote. He was the true example of what a Christian and a champion should be. He loved everyone and instantly forgave anyone, even his fiercest enemies. I will miss you my friend. See you down the road. Only love. Hulk Hogan.
Their bond wasnt just surface level. In a 2023 interview with Bally Sports, Foreman actually called Hogan one of his favorite wrestlers, crediting the wrestling world with inspiring some of his own approach inside the boxing ring. I still think about it because some of those first original heroes of mine were from wrestling of course and then that mixed martial arts stuff, Id have never done the rope-a-dope stuff if Id have been in that, Foreman said.
From his Olympic gold medal win in 1968 to his reign as two-time world heavyweight championand even the global success of the George Foreman GrillForemans legacy is unmatched. But those closest to him, like Hogan, will remember him most for his kindness, faith, and loyalty.
