Becky Lynch may be off WWE television for now, but dont count her out. Fans wondering when Big Time Becks will step back inside the squared circle just got a major updatefrom none other than her husband, Seth Rollins.
During The Rich Eisen Show this week, Rollins joined the host via video call while in Italy for WWEs European tour. When asked who he was heading to dinner with, Rollins didnt hesitate: Just me. Im a solo man. Solo date today with myself right now. He then confirmed that Becky Lynch is currently back home. My wife is back there in LA with you guys, so, Im going to be by myself and do my own thing, you know. If she was with me, she was on the road, she would be my companion, my wine sampling partner but today, Im by myself, so, Ill take pictures and bring them all.
This clears up some speculation about her absenceLynch hasnt wrestled since her May 27, 2024 Steel Cage Match loss to Liv Morgan on RAW. But according to Wrestling Informers Billi Bhatti, the reason she hasnt returned yet isnt just storyline-relatedits tied to some behind-the-scenes business.
Bhatti reported that both Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins recently changed representation and signed with Adventure Media, a powerhouse agency that reps big-name film directors and showrunners. That switch caused a delay in finalizing Lynchs new WWE contract. There was a delay in the contract negotiations because they decided to go with a different agent, and that new agent wanted to come in and tie up loose ends, Bhatti explained.
What were those loose ends? Flexibility. In Beckys case, it wasnt about getting permission to take other opportunities without WWE necessarily getting a cut. She also wanted to be allowed to use the Becky Lynch name without WWE fully owning it, Bhatti added. They wanted to be with the same agent, they want their contracts to begin at the same time, and they want their contracts to be the same length. My belief is theyre going to get pretty much the same money.
In the meantime, Becky Lynch hasnt exactly been laying low. Shes involved in multiple Hollywood projects, including the upcoming Happy Gilmore 2, set to hit Netflix in July 2025. Shes even been spotted at Netflix events in recent weeksstrictly as a guest, not in a WWE capacity.
Between contract fine-tuning, film roles, and her new agency, Beckys time away from WWE is anything but a vacation. And now that Rollins has confirmed shes still very much in the mix, it looks like The Man could return sooner rather than later.
When do you think Becky Lynch should returnbefore or after Happy Gilmore 2 hits Netflix? What feud should she jump into? Sound off in the comments and let us know.
