The Stingers WrestleMania weekend just got a bit longersparking even more speculation about a possible WWE Hall of Fame appearance alongside his longtime friend Lex Luger.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, plans for Sting in Las Vegas have changed. Originally, he was scheduled to be in town for just one day. But now? Im told hes there for two days, Sapp reported, sending fans into overdrive about a possible cameo during the Hall of Fame ceremony.
For weeks, wrestling sources have been debating whether AEW would allow Stingwho retired at AEW Revolution earlier this monthto cross over for a final WWE appearance and induct Lex Luger. WWE reportedly gave the green light after Luger personally requested Sting. That moved the decision squarely into Tony Khans hands.
While AEW hasnt confirmed anything yet, Sapp noted that WWE allowed Luger to be at Stings retirement but didnt allow him to appear on screen, suggesting WWE might return the favoron their own terms. Sting would absolutely be allowed to be there, Sapp added. I cant speak to whether or not hell be on screen or anything like that.
Dave Meltzer previously hinted that AEW could negotiate something in returnmaybe a plug for an AEW event, or even an apology for the infamous pissant company jab from Triple H back in 2019.
Either way, Stings decision to extend his trip to Vegas has only added fuel to the fire that this Hall of Fame moment might actually happen. Will AEW play ball? Will WWE put Sting on screen? And will Lex Luger finally get the tribute he deserves from the man who stood by his side for decades?
