AEW is throwing a partyand rewriting history in the process.
During the March 23 episode of AEW Collision, the commentary team dropped a major announcement: AEW Dynamite will air a special Spring Break Thru episode on April 16. The show will go down at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, Massachusettsand its not just another themed show. Its a historic one.
With that episode, AEW Dynamite officially becomes the longest-running weekly wrestling series on Turner networks, surpassing the legendary WCW Monday Nitro. AEW commentator Tony Schiavone, who was also part of Nitros iconic run, made it crystal clear: AEW Dynamite Spring Break Thru in Boston will be the episode where Dynamite becomes the longest running weekly wrestling show on the Turner networks.
The milestone comes as AEW continues building its legacy on the same network that once housed its biggest competition in the Monday Night Wars. Now, AEWs flagship show is stepping out of the shadows of the past and carving out its own legacyone record-breaking week at a time.
No matches or segments have been announced yet, but with this kind of moment on deck, you can bet AEW will be stacking the card.
