Mirra Andreeva has been making history lately and achieving major success at a very young age but even she didn't avoid being subjected to some pretty harsh and disgusting messages.

On Sunday night in Miami, the Russian tennis star saw her 13-match winning streak come to an end after Amanda Anisimova handed her a 7-6 (5) 2-6 6-3 loss in the second round. Before coming to Miami, the 17-year-old won back-to-back WTA 1000 titles in Dubai and Indian Wells - she twice beat Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina during that run, as well as once Aryna Sabalenka.

But after losing early in the second tournament of the Sunshine Double, Andreeva received vile abuse. The messages that she received were very insulting and some even wished her to get a cancer diagnosis.

"And this is what you get when you lose 1 match," the world No. 6 captioned her since-deleted Instagram post.

Andreeva wanted to do well in Miami

After beating Sabalenka in the Indian Wells final, the 17-year-old said her focus was shifting to the second Double Sunshine tournament..

Ive had a great tournament and Im still excited about the win. It was a great, great match in the final and Im super happy about the win. And now, unfortunately, I have to focus on Miami and Im going to try my best to win as many matches here. Of course, Im super excited and super pumped to be playing this tournament for the first time, Andreeva said a couple of days ago.

In her opening match in Miami - which also marked her debut at the tournament - the Russian showed no signs of slowing down after destroying Veronika Kudermetova 6-0 6-2.

Now that she is out of Miami early, Andreeva will focus on the upcoming clay swing and doing well there.
