Hulk Hogan just got a major reality check from UK wrestling fansand it came in the form of straight-up boos.
On March 23, during the Sweet Chin Disco party in Nottingham, Englandhosted by TNAs Joe Hendry and WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henryeverything was going smooth until someone made the mistake of playing Real American. Thats right, Hulk Hogans iconic theme hit the speakers, but instead of hyping up the crowd, it straight-up turned them.
The fans instantly erupted with boos, drowning out the music to the point that organizers had to yank the song mid-play and replace it with something else. Yeahthey booed Hogans music off the damn system.
This isnt just a UK thing either. Hogan got booed at the Raw on Netflix premiere back in January, and it looks like that heat has officially gone international.
Fans still havent forgotten Hogans 2015 scandal, when a tape dropped of him using racist language, including saying he didnt want his daughter dating a Black man. WWE dropped him fastbut brought him back in 2018. Still, many believe Hogan never truly made things right. When he reportedly addressed the WWE locker room, insiders claimed his speech was more about not getting caught on tape than apologizing for being racist.
Lets not forget the meet-and-greet mess in New York where he bailed early, leaving kids in tears. Or the lawsuit tied to his Real American Beer brand after someone got injured at a promotional event. Or that awkward Trump support stuff that keeps resurfacing.
Bottom linefans arent buying the redemption arc. The Hulkster may think hes still a Real American, but to a lot of people, that song doesnt hit the way it used to and now it doesnt even finish playing.
Would you still pop for Hogans music if it hit? Or are fans right to boo? Drop your thoughts belowwe wanna hear from you.
