Former TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter is dealing with a heartbreaking personal loss. On Monday morning, Carter took to Facebook to share that her beloved mother, Janice Carter, has passed away.
Im heartbroken that my precious mama passed away last night, Dixie wrote in an emotional tribute. Im heartbroken for all selfish reasons. I will miss her in more ways than I could ever count. Its such a surreal feeling and I know the weight of it has not hit me yet.
Janice Carter wasnt just a mother she was a major influence in Dixies life, known for her strength, faith, and love of family. Dixie expressed her grief but also her gratitude, writing, She was the most amazing mom and I have been so blessed in countless ways by her. She loved her family fiercely and there was nothing more important except her love for God.
Dixie praised her mothers strength and wisdom, calling her beautiful, smart, a great businesswoman, giving, tough, and always helping others. She added, I will live every day for the rest of my life trying to do the same and to make you proud. I love you so much, mama. Im going to miss you like crazy!!
Janice Carter played a key role behind the scenes during TNAs growth, with the Carter familys ownership helping launch the careers of many pro wrestling stars. Though she largely remained out of the spotlight, Janices impact was felt throughout the industry and even more deeply within her family.
Dixie closed her message with a request for support, writing, Please pray for our family as we have lost our Honies, our rock.
