Royce Adams, son of late WWE star Brian Crush Adams, is making sure his fathers legacy doesnt get left behind. In a heartfelt reveal, Royce confirmed that he has officially signed a posthumous WWE Legends contract on behalf of his father, finally bringing Crush into the fold alongside his iconic tag team partners Ax and Smash from Demolition.
Speaking on Power & Glory with Paul Roma, Mario Mancini and Emir, Royce shared how it all came together. I started seeing rumors and stuff online and all that. Oh, yeah, Demolition legends Ax and Smash are on a Legends Deal. Im like, thats pretty cool. Then sure enough, I get a call, Royce said. This guy tells me, Yeah, Im with the WWE. Were trying to reach out to the family, the owners of Crushs estate. Im like, okay, yeah, this is Royce, his son.
From there, it was about tracking him down which apparently wasnt all that hard. He told me he looked at the obituary of Crush, found out he had kids, me included, and then he looked me up He saw me on Facebook and was like, Yeah, you were really easy to track down, actually, Royce recalled.
After speaking with his mom, the family agreed to the deal. So anyway, yeah, he reached out to me and my mom, and we agreed to sign the posthumous contract, I guess you can call it, and yeah, so thats how my dad is now a part of the whole Legends thing with the rest of Demolition.
Brian Adams, known for his time in WWE and WCW, joined Demolition in 1990, rounding out one of the most intimidating tag teams of their era. With this contract, WWE now holds rights to use Crushs likeness in merchandise, future video games like the WWE 2K series, and licensed content a major step in preserving his legacy for future generations.
While Demolition fans continue to push for a Hall of Fame induction, this Legends deal ensures the full trio is finally being recognized for their impact on wrestling history.
