The March 24 episode of WWE RAW aired earlier than usual from Glasgow, Scotland. The OVO Hydro hosted the event. The crowd saw a big night of action, and CM Punk was there to stir the pot.
On WWE SmackDowns March 21 episode in Italy, CM Punks storyline with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins was kicked up a notch. The whole segment resulted in a three-way brawl, leaving fans looking forward to a possible triple threat match at WrestleMania 41.
CM Punk came out to address the Glasgow crowd as the second hour of the show wrapped up. That is when they announced that Punk will take on Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 41. Punk addressed the fans, who were more than pumped to see the Second City Saint.
Punk said that hes a bit pissed off, which was hard for him considering the amazing reception he received from the Glasgow crowd. Then Punk mentioned his triple threat match, and the road that brought him there.
That is when CM Punk mentioned that Roman Reigns Wise Man isnt just his Wise Man. He said that they will have a contract signing on SmackDown this Friday. Fans started booing, because it wasnt happening there. That is when CM Punk used the fact that he was there to twist the knife a little bit more.
CM Punk was originally aligned with The Shield in WWE storyline. Well never know what could have happened if Vince McMahon didnt change the stables direction, but a four-way match at WrestleMania could have once been in the cards once upon a time. With Dean Ambrose in AEW as Jon Moxley, a three-way storyline between Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Punk makes sense and has history behind it.
