Beth Phoenix finished her time with WWE after her contract expired last year, and she was not offered a new deal or a legends contract. With her departure,there has been growing speculation that she might make her debut in AEW. Adam Copeland has now addressed whether fans should expect to see his wife in AEW in the future.
While speaking to TV Insider, Adam Copeland was asked if his wife Beth Phoenix might step into the ring to face Marina Shafir, as it was noted that some fans think it would make the story more exciting.
Copeland said its possible but depends on the right situation. Instead, AEW chose to involve Willow Nightingale since she is already on the roster and has a great connection with fans. He also mentioned that Beth has a busy schedule, so it would be hard for both of them to be traveling at the same time.
Britt Baker made it clear that she wants to see Beth Phoenix in AEWas well, as its quite clear that quite a few people feel Beth Phoenix will be a solid addition to the AEW roster, especially working with Adam Copeland.
As AEWs womens division keeps growing, the idea of Beth Phoenix stepping into the ring is exciting for fans. While nothing is confirmed, her experience and legacy in wrestling make her a valuable potential addition.
