Saraya explains that she initially planned to take a break around the holidays for personal reasons. However, she started questioning what was left for her to do in wrestling at this moment.
With no current storylines that fit her, she felt she might be taking a spot from someone else who could be doing something special. She also makes it clear that her decision has nothing to do with AEW founder Tony Khan.
Saraya leaves the door open for a potential return, saying she loves AEW but is taking a step back to focus on herself and her podcast. She thanks the AEW fans, praises Tony Khan, and expresses how much she will miss the womens locker room, encouraging her colleagues to stay in touch.
Saraya recently made it clear she will be taking a break from professional wrestling this year and focus on projects outside the business. Now that she is no longer part of AEW, well have to wait and see what the future has in store for Saraya, as a return to WWE is definitely possible now.
