The family of the late James Harris, known to wrestling fans as Kamala The Ugandan Giant, has announced that they have signed a Legends contract with WWE.
Kamalas family uploaded a post on his official Facebook page, where his wife Emmer Jean Harris expressed pride in bringing his legacy back to WWE, where she believes it belongs. Jared Ashley, CEO and Founder of 16 Creative, played a major role in securing the deal. He stated that his goal was always to see Kamala recognized as a WWE Legend and, hopefully, inducted into the Hall of Fame.
16 Creative, a marketing and branding agency based in Gulf Shores, Alabama, specializes in estate management for wrestling icons. The agency has helped secure Legends contracts for stars like Demolition, CRUSH, Koko B. Ware, Tito Santana, King Kong Bundy, and Junkyard Dog, while also representing WWE Superstars such as Ted DiBiase and Mike Rotunda.
This comes after WrestleVotes reported that Kamala is being seriously considered for induction into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2025. It was indicated that discussions within WWE point to Kamala potentially joining this years class alongside Triple H and Lex Luger.
Kamalas WWE Legends contract is a big step in honoring his career. With talks about him joining the Hall of Fame, fans are excited to see if he will finally get the recognition he deserves.
