Cedric Alexander just dropped a wild story from his indie wrestling days one that ended with him going viral and receiving death threats over a move that looked way too real.
In his first post-WWE interview with Chris Van Vliet, the former Cruiserweight Champion opened up about his release, his future in wrestling, and one moment that still has fans talking years later the infamous Lumbar Check on Candice LeRae.
The clip, which resurfaced online after LeRae appeared on WWE Raw, shows Alexander delivering his signature finisher to her during a 2015 Six-Way Scramble match at AIW Absolution X, long before either of them joined WWE. What happened next? Chaos.
But when he woke up the next morning, it wasnt just another indie highlight reel moment it was trending everywhere.
Cedric also touched on the origins of the Lumbar Check, revealing that it was actually inspired by Mortal Kombats Sub-Zero and that the name was created while brainstorming with his wife, Big Swole.
