BETs recent ranking of the top 15 greatest Black pro wrestlers of all time had the wrestling world talking. With Booker T sitting at the top, and The Rock taking the second spot, the list was filled with legends and modern stars alikeincluding Mercedes Mon (formerly known as Sasha Banks), who landed at #5.

But not everyone is thrilled with her placement. WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash weighed in after seeing a clip of Jim Cornette discussing the BET list. On his Kliq This podcast, Nash didnt hold back, specifically calling out Mercedes Mon for what he sees as lackluster effort in her recent AEW matches.

They were critiquing it yeah, you know, Nash said. And so it was Sasha, whatever her name is now, CEO. She was the third. So I watched her match, and manshes phoning her sh*t in big time. Thats not the same girl I watched tearing it out in the house in Brooklyn with Bayley.

Nash referenced the legendary NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn match between Sasha Banks and Bayley in 2015widely regarded as one of the best womens matches in WWE history. Since transitioning to AEW, Mercedes Mon has held the TBS Championship and garnered some crossover attention, but Nash clearly believes the fire isnt what it once was.

Whether this is fair criticism or a case of expectations clashing with a new style, its yet another layer to the conversation around the BET list and Mons evolving legacy in the ring.

Do you think Kevin Nash is being too harsh on Mercedes Mon? Or does he have a point about her current run? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
