Charlie Woods and Kai Trump attracted huge attention by performing at the prestigious Sage Valley Junior Invitational. This event is considered by many to be the most prestigious event in junior golf, and the son and daughter of two famous personalities did not finish this tournament in an ideal way. However, what is quite interesting is that both have moved up in the American Junior Golf Association rankings after their last appearance.
Charlie, a 16-year-old golfer, is now in 603rd place, moving up 235 places. As we said before, the son of Tiger did not perform so well in this tournament, finishing 25th out of 36 golfers. Although his start was good, this teenager experienced a decline, but he can draw a lot of positives after this performance.
Kai Trump's performance
Donald Trump's granddaughter, Kai Trump, was even more disappointing, considering that she finished her tournament in the last place. The 17-year-old shot a 52 over par, 22 strokes behind. Amazingly, she made a huge jump of 285 places, and now occupies the 530th place in the ranking.
The link between the two is the Benjamin School in Florida, and some point out that it is also the link between their parents, Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump, who started a romantic relationship a few months ago.
The two of them grace the covers of golf magazines with their romance, and speculations from the media appear day by day.
Fans immediately started criticizing Charlie and Kai, saying they weren't talented enough. However, a tournament like this can't be an indication of their quality, especially when we know that they are in their formative years and far from their prime. Such criticism can be difficult for such young people, but they seem to be able to handle it.
Nevertheless, the appearance at such a prestigious tournament certainly opens many paths for them, and gives them a chance to progress in golf.
