Triple H might be riding high with WWEs current momentumbut according to Vince Russo, his seat at the top could be getting warm. And theres only one man Russo sees taking over: The Rock.
During the latest episode of the Coach and Bro Show, the outspoken wrestling veteran didnt hold back when discussing the future of WWEs creative direction. Russo believes that the TKO Group, WWEs new corporate overseers, arent all that impressed with The Gamebut theyre absolutely invested in The Final Boss.
Russo then dropped the big statement: If we can have The Rock running this company, they dont look at The Rock as a wrestler, they look at him as a mega mega mega star. If we can have The Rock running this company, The Rock is going to run this company.
The Rock, who officially joined TKOs board of directors in 2023, has already started flexing his influence backstage. He reportedly brought in his longtime Hollywood collaborator and writer Brian Gewirtz to work on WWE storylinesespecially involving his current TV role as The Final Boss.
But for Russo, this goes beyond The Rocks current on-screen run. He says WWEs long-term direction hinges on what The Rock wants.
While Triple H has earned praise for WWEs creative resurgence under his leadership, Russos comments add a wild twist to the power dynamics behind the scenes.
