Iga Swiatek has an idea about what she would do differently if she could play her Miami Open quarterfinal match against Alexandra Eala again as the Pole would definitely add more spin to her shots instead of hitting the ball very hard.

During a 2-6 5-7 loss to the 19-year-old, the Pole hit 32 unforced errors and stunningly lost her serve eight times. Looking at those stats, many were probably left surprised. But those who watched the match and saw how the Filipina pressured the No. 2 seed throughout the entire encounter and made it very tricky for the 2022 Miami champion.
Now, Swiatek openly admits that her body wasn't where it needed to be but also acknowledges that she probably could have made some better on-court choices.

What would I change if I could replay this match? Honestly, I dont know. I felt like my body wasnt working the way it should, and I dont really understand why. I guess Id try to use more spin. I was hitting the ball hard, but it just wasnt going where I wanted it to. So its hard to evaluate right now," the 23-year-old said on Canal+ Sport.

Before the Canal+ Sport interview, Swiatek spoke to reporters in her post-match press conference. During the presser, the former world No. 1 said that Eala "went all in" and that she felt "relaxed" on the court all while being very aggressive and getting to her spots throughout the match.
Swiatek will now take some time to recharge and then focus on finally ending her 10-month title drought in her clay-season opener in Stuttgart in mid-April.
