WWEs Hall of Fame Class of 2025 just got a massive shot of adrenaline with the introduction of a brand-new categoryand it turns out this was no last-minute gimmick.
During the March 28 episode of SmackDown in London, WWE revealed that Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Bret Hitman Hart from WrestleMania 13 will be inducted as the first-ever Immortal Moment in Hall of Fame history. The legendary 1997 match, famous for Austin passing out in the Sharpshooter without ever quitting, will be honored at this years ceremony. Both icons will be there in person for the April 18 event at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas.
Now, a new update from WrestleVotes confirms that this wasnt just a last-minute boost to sell more tickets. The plan to induct the match was baked into WWEs long-term vision for the 2025 Hall of Fame all along. According to the account on X, WWE inducting Austin vs. Hart was something that was always a part of the plan for the 2025 Hall of Fame, rather than being a decision made due to ticket sales for the event itself.
That match is one of the most influential in WWE historynot just for the action, but for how it flipped the script with a double turn, turning Hart heel and catapulting Austin to superstardom. Now, nearly 30 years later, WWE is giving it the ultimate honor.
With the 2025 class already featuring Triple H, Michelle McCool, Lex Luger, and The Natural Disasters, this years Hall of Fame is shaping up to be a nostalgia-fueled celebration that fans wont forget.
