Drew McIntyres heel run is heating up, but it was a kid in the front row who delivered the most savage blow on SmackDown this week.
During the March 28 episode of WWE SmackDown at the O2 Arena in London, things were already tense between Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Drew McIntyre as WrestleMania 41 looms. But the moment that truly went viral wasnt even part of the script.
As McIntyre stood outside the ring delivering shots at Orton and Rhodes, a young fan sitting ringside couldnt hold backand threw up a bold middle finger aimed right at the Scottish Warrior.
Instead of ignoring it, McIntyre leaned into the moment with a response that only he could deliver. Responding to the clip on Twitter, Drew tweeted: Fair play. This little twat has absolutely mugged me off. Hate recognises hate.
Of course, this all went down in a segment that also featured Cody Rhodes kicking off the show to huge cheers, discussing his match with John Cena at WrestleMania 41. Orton came out next and gave Rhodes serious props for helping revolutionize WWE, but made it clear hes coming for his 15th world title. McIntyre stormed the ring shortly after, making it clear hes eyeing that same prizeand it all nearly exploded.
But somehow, a kid with one finger managed to steal the spotlight.
Do you think Drew Mc Intyre handled that fan moment perfectly? Or did the kid just become a certified legend? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
