Randy Orton isnt taking any more cheap shotsand he made that crystal clear after what went down on the March 28 episode of WWE SmackDown in London.
After stepping into the ring with Drew McIntyre, The Viper was on track for another hard-hitting showdown. But thanks to Kevin Owens interfering, the result went sideways fast. McIntyre picked up the win, and Ortons frustration exploded into a post-match brawl with Owens.
Now Ortons looking to settle the score in the most brutal way possibleon the grandest stage of them all.
In a digital exclusive posted by WWE after the show, Orton unleashed a fiery message aimed directly at his WrestleMania 41 opponent. Oh, you want to hear a little something from the Legend Killer? You want to hear a little something from the Viper, the Apex Predator? Orton began. I was out four freaking months because Kevin Owens dropped me on my head.
The 14-time world champion didnt hold back, explaining that hes only just getting back into his groove after a lengthy layoff: Four months, no matches. Four months, the ring rust started to build up. Now Im out. I got my second match in four months. Beat Carmelo Hayes two weeks ago. Now Im out there with Drew McIntyre, of all people, and Kevin Owens wants to stick his nose in my business.
But the big moment came when Orton issued a warning that only he could deliver. Owens, Orton, WrestleMania. Piledriver versus Punt Kick, he said. He is just only going to nip, nip, nip, nip away at me until I kick him so hard come the day on WrestleMania. Grandest stage of all. I am going to send his head clear over the freaking roof. Just wait and watch. Night one. WrestleMania 41. Kevin Owens, your ass is mine.
After years of destruction, Ortons message is simple: dont poke the Viper unless youre ready to get bit.
