Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling made its official debutand fans couldnt help but notice the visuals looked very familiar. Theres a good reason for that.

The new Canadian promotion, led by former TNA President Scott DAmore, brought serious TNA energy when it kicked off with its Forged in Excellence event. From the lighting rigs to the production polish, it felt like a blast from the Impact Zone days. And now, its clear that wasnt just coincidenceit was by design.

According to a report from Fightful Select, DAmore enlisted some heavy hitters to run the show behind the scenes. Production veterans Keith Mitchell and Kevin Sullivanboth of whom played major roles in TNAs look and feelare now part of Maple Leafs braintrust. Joining them is Timothy Walbert, whos worked with both WWE and AEW in the past.

And the TNA links dont stop there. Fightful also reported that Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling used the same rental companies as TNA for lighting and equipment, further locking in that unmistakable visual aesthetic.

Before the debut event, DAmore confirmed he had to navigate around a non-compete clause to get the new promotion off the ground. I originally had a non-compete until January, he told Fightful, but an agreement was reached so it could expire early. That early exit cleared the runway for him to officially relaunch Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling sooner than expected.

So while the name on the marquee might be new, the DNA of this promotion screams vintage TNAwith a fresh coat of Canadian pride.

What do you think about Scott DAmore reviving the spirit of TNA with Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling? Are you down for this new era, or should it carve its own path? Let us know in the comments!
